THE STEP UP

This Step Up model is a modern day replacement of my Indo Gun model which has been a perennial in my range for over 15 years. Although it has evolved over time and still to date; really is for those who like the contemporary semi guns that are concaved, rockered up and pulled in the tail. Having said that; it still needed to be living firmly in the year of 2015 -so more tweaks were necessary.

Firstly I have lowered the nose entry a tad and added that back in tail lift. Also widened the nose somewhat as well as the tail with the thought of a quad option for real serious stuff. The bottom contour is a deepish single concave through the belly and the fins relieved by a sudden short little vee out the tail to help release all that water trapped in the concave out a pinch earlier. All in all- now a cutting edge semi gun ripe for that OS trip where you want the perfect board for that perfect bigger wave.

GLASSING

All of my step ups will be glassed with double diagonal 4 oz laminates bolstered with a carbon strip up the deck to help counter karate chopping lips. From everything I have learnt over the last 40 years surfing reef breaks I am convinced that this glass process will give you all the confidence needed to risk board and limb for that unforgettable wave of your life.
